After studying conducting at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School, where he received the Bruno Walter Memorial Scholarship, Milanov embarked on an international career. He had, for instance, tenure for 17 tears tenure with the New Symphony Orchestra in his native Sofia, Bulgaria and he has just celebrated ten with Princeton Symphony in the US.
After a debut at London’s Wigmore Hall at the age of 15 followed by one in New York, Gary Hoffman won the Premier Grand Prix of the Rostropovich International Competition in Paris in 1986, and he embarked on a career that takes him to the world’s foremost orchestra
