The CPYO is a sought after band, regularly performing in festivals, community events and live on television in festivals such as the Fiesta Awards. It has released a DVD internationally with Trenton and the Free Radical called Mr. Mandela and performed in The Last Face, directed by Sean Penn.  Brandon Phillips, the CPO’s resident conductor and winner of the Len van Zyl inaugural Conductors’ Competition in 2010, was for 10 years; Liam Burden was appointed conductor in 2024.
